There are just three games in our round up this week due to cancellation of the Carew Park and Pike Rovers game due to a damaged goalpost at Carew’s home ground. We also have a full report of the Fairview vs Regional game on our website and social media pages.
Ballynanty Rovers made it three games unbeaten and in doing so picked up a huge 2-1 victory over one of the early title favourites Aisling Annacotty at Limerick Institute of Technology on Sunday morning. Thomas Byrnes and Habidden Gbedebo were on the scoresheet once more having both scored against Carew Park. Gbadebo has now scored 5 goals in 4 games for Dave Dunphy’s side. Shane Clarke pulled a goal back for Aisling but they were unable to force an equaliser.
Aisling will now turn their attentions to a home fixture with Carew Park on Thursday night and Ballynanty will now have a week off as they were due to play Prospect Priory who will not be competing for the remainder of the season.

Nenagh AFC made it two wins in a row and 9 goals in two home games as they defeated Janesboro 5-0 at Brickfields. Matthew O’Gorman scored a hattrick and Matthew Spain and Mini Sheahen scored a goal apiece for Cillian Fitzpatrick’s men who travel to Cork on Thursday evening to face Charleville as they look for their first points on the road. Janesboro will host high flying Fairview Rangers as they look to build on their tally of 3 points.

Coonagh United and Mungret Regional both picked up their first points of the season on Sunday morning with a 1-1 draw. Cian McNicholas opened the scoring for Mungret but Ger Myles replied for Paudie Hickey’s team. The game was played Thomond College once again due to the ongoing drainage works at Coonagh’s home ground. #
In a throwback and with Richie Burke missing 11 players from his squad for the game, he introduced striker Danny Galvin who currently plays with the club’s D team and hasn’t played for Mungret Regional A team since the late 1990’s.
Mungret will now face Pike Rovers at Crosagalla on Thursday and Coonagh will host Regional United with both sides still searching for their first three points.
