What They’ve Won | Kiely’s exceptional crop add to their extensive medal cabinet

Nineteen of the current crop have been involved in each of the Munster championship wins since 2019 and the All-Ireland success of the previous year.

Limerick continued their perfect final record under John Kiely on Sunday in winning a record equalling fifth successive Munster Senior Hurling title at Clare’s expense.

The Shannonsiders had to go to the well against their neighbours for the second year running but prevailed as they have done now in twelve finals on the trot.

Nickie Quaid, Declan Hannon, Graeme Mulcahy and David Reidy made history in becoming the first Limerick men to ever win six Munster titles.

They aren’t the only ones to hold a rich collection of accolades with fifteen more of the current crop involved for each of the Munster championship wins since 2019.

But knowing the desire of Kiely’s men, they will soon set their sights on more history and silverware with an All-Ireland semi-final to come in four weeks time.

Below we look at the already storied careers of the 2023 Munster championship final match day squad which doesn’t include Sean Finn who has 27 different accolades
