What They’ve Won | The vast array of silverware amassed by John Kiely’s current crop of Limerick superstars

After a number of barren years in the county, John Kiely’s current crop of Limerick hurlers have amassed an amount of accolades since his arrival in 2017.

2021 saw John Kiely’s men retain their All-Ireland title for the first time as they picked up a ninth successive championship victory.

With Limerick greats like Ciaran Carey, Gary Kirby, Mark Foley and Donal O’Grady ending their careers without a Celtic Cross medal, most of the current crop now have three at their disposal.

And such is their current dominance, they were rewarded with 12 All-Stars in the 2021 Team of the Year with Cian Lynch, Kyle Hayes and Sean Finn up for the hurler of the year gong.

The current side have won so much in the game already with the majority far removed from any thoughts of retirement.

Below we look at the already storied careers of the 2021 All-Ireland final matchday squad with an array of silverware between them.
