There were wins for both the Limerick Celtics and the Limerick Sport Eagles last Saturday, as both Shannonside men’s teams picked up victories in the InsureMyVan.ie Division One.
The Celtics hosted Joels Dublin Lions, and pipped their visitors from the capital to a 97-91 victory to take their impressive record for the year to 13-4. They sit top of the Southern conference.
Sport Eagles also saw victory, as they played at home to SETU Carlow, edging a thriller by just three points. They posted 102 points in an impressive display, and their win takes them to 9-8 for the season, and they lay in fourth spot in the South.
Next up for the Celtics is a trip to take on SETU Carlow this Sunday, while Sport Eagles host Scotts Lakers Killarney in UL Arena.
