“You’ve got to consistently play well week in, week out”-JvG ahead of the new season

This weekend Munster kick off their 2020/21 Guinness Pro 14 season with a trip to Wales to take on the Scarlets.

After a disappointing end to last season’s campaign in the semi-final against Leinster, Munster Head Coach Johann van Graan is looking to hit the ground running.

“We are looking forward to the start of the season. It’s strange times but we are comfortable with the preparation that we have had.”

And the goal is simple for the Province after a number of semi-final losses.

“To get yourself in the playoffs, you’ve got to consistently play well week in week out. You’ve got to put yourself in a position to get into the semi-finals which we have done for the last four seasons and then improve as the season goes to get a positive result in a semi-final and get into the final. But that is a long way away.”
