The Limerick senior footballers claimed the first win of their Division 4 campaign on Saturday evening in Martinstown overcoming Waterford 2-10 to 2-9.
Manager Billy Lee says getting up and running was a massively important confidence boost for his young side.
“Winning was paramount and of huge importance and thankfully we managed that. A bit more significantly was how it arrived. We were up at half time, playing good football. Waterford got the run of us and we struggled to hold onto their shirt tales. We were three points down with three or four minutes to go and managed to win by a point. That will really kick the boys on in terms of the belief in themselves.”
