Limerick U20 hurling boss Evan Loftus has named his side to take on Cork in Round 3 of the oneills.com Munster U20 Hurling Championship on Friday evening.

The tie is scheduled to start at 7pm in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, with the Shannonsiders looking for their first victory of this year’s Munster campaign.

Loftus has made some positional changes to the side that lost to Tipperary in the last round, with Matthew Fitzgerald, Con Hayes and Fintan Fitzgerald all taking up new roles in the XV.

Shane O’Brien has plenty experience with John Kiely’s Seniors, and the Kilmallock man will pose immense threat from full-forward on Friday.

Pierce Connery is set to start in goal, with Darragh Langan joined by Mikey Fitzgibbon and David Fitzgerald in the full-back line.

Sean Casey of Bruff starts at six, flanked by captain Cian Scully and Na Piarsaigh’s Vince Harrington.
