Three Limerick stars in hurling team of the week

Defenders Diarmuid Byrnes and Declan Hannon are joined in this week’s team of the week by forward Aaron Gillane following their performance against Tipperary on Sunday afternoon.

Byrnes and Hannon make the team following commanding displays from both men in the half-back line while Byrnes also chipped in with two crucial 65’s in the second half.

While Gillane terrorized the Tipp full-back line from the word go at the Gaelic Grounds, the sharpshooter pointed eight times in the win, six from frees.

However, there was no room for yesterday’s man of the match nominee Gearoid Hegarty.
