Tommy O’Donnell to miss Champions Cup quarter final clash with Toulon

Munster Rugby have confirmed that Tommy O’Donnell will sit out their European Champions Cup quarter final game against Toulon in Thomond Park this weekend.

The 30 year-old suffered a recurrence of a shoulder injury during last Saturday’s 19-7 win over Scarlets in the Pro14.

Rory Scannell is following return-to-play protocols following that win.

Meanwhile Simon Zebo and Andrew Conway are expected to return to training this week with both players being monitored closely.

Ronan O’Mahony is recovering from a knock he picked up playing for Munster A earlier this month.
