WATCH – Munster Championship wide open after weekend draws

What a weekend it has been in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship! On Saturday, we were treated to an absolute classic between Cork and Limerick at Pairc Ui Chaoimh and today Waterford and Tipperary served up another Munster epic.

What does it all mean?

As the table suggests, Limerick and Cork are in pole position to reach the Munster Final but there are plenty of twists and turns ahead yet.

We will know more next weekend when Limerick host Waterford and Tipperary travel to Cusack Park in Ennis. Waterford will need to beat Limerick to have any chance of reaching the decider, while Clare and Tipperary also need a victory. A win for Limerick would almost guarantee them a place in the Munster Final.

Waterford were 11 points up on Tipperary and looked set for their first win today but a combination of Jason Forde’s sharp shooting and a monumental umpiring decision saw Michael Ryan’s men claw their way back to a 2-22 to 2-22 draw.

Check out the highlights below.

While we are here, why not take a look back at last night’s epic game between Limerick and Cork. It was a Munster Championship game for the ages and we just can’t get enough of it.
