The IRFU have advertised for a part-time head coach to replace Limerick man Tom Tierney following his departure from the women’s national side.
Tierney stepped down following a disappointing World Cup showing from the hosts in August where they finished in eighth position.
The IRFU are now looking for a part-time/casual replacement on a six-month term. Applications for the role close on October 27.
The IRFU states that ‘along with the head coach responsibilities, this role will also involve the co-ordination of the national XVs programme for all training camps, tournament assemblies and tours through the 2018 Women’s Six Nations Championship under the direction of the IRFU director of Women’s and Sevens Rugby.’
Ireland have already qualified for next year’s Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco.
