WATCH: Cathal King – Na Piarsaigh squad ready to “step up” to replace suspended players

Na Piarsaigh captain, Cathal King says that his side have enough depth in their squad to account for their two suspended players ahead of the St Patricks Day decider with Cuala.

Both Thomas Grimes and Conor Boylan saw red during Na Piarsaigh’s defeat of Slaughtneil in the semi-final last month.

But King insists that the panel are ready to “step up” to fill in the gaps left.

“There’s massive competition there. Lads have been working so hard, even lads who haven’t seen a blade of grass at all in championship are giving their absolute everything. Everyone contributes.”

Na Piarsaigh are in familiar territory having won the Club All Ireland just two seasons ago and King says this match is a culmination of the work that has gone on behind the scenes since that victory against Cushendall.

“This is kind of like a final product for all the work that goes in over the years by countless volunteers… People come here because they want to be here. They want to be involved”.
