WATCH – Johann van Graan on importance of Keith Earls and successful trip to South Africa

Winger Keith Earls is due back on the pitch today in preparation for Munster’s European semi-final showdown with Racing 92 on Sunday. Earls sustained a knee injury in Ireland’s Grand Slam win against England.

Head coach Johann van Graan has says it’s a ‘massive boost’ that the Limerick man is ready to return to training and has stressed how important Earls is to the side.

“He brings in such a lot of experience and he’s been on fire all year. Whenever Earlsie is part of the team he gives a lot of guys a run of confidence so it would be great to have him if he’s ready to go.”

The South African also talks about what Munster gained from their trip to South Africa in the video below, where the province became the only Pro 14 side to beat both Southern Hemisphere sides away from home.
