O’Mahony first led Ireland on the summer tour to USA and Canada back in 2013, Munster teammate CJ Stander joins him in the back row, while John Ryan takes his place in the front row.
Three of Johann van Graan’s squad are represented in the backs as new signing Joey Carbery starts at 10, he’s joined by new half back partner Conor Murray, who will earn his 65th cap. Keith Earls starts on the wing as he closes in on 70 appearances for his country.
Limerick man Sean Cronin starts among the replacements with Rob Herring getting the nod to replace the injured Best.
The games will be broadcast live on Sky Sports (TV) and RTE 2FM (Radio).
