Ronan O’Mahony’s suffers major season ending injury

Ronan O’Mahonys season has come to an end

Munsters win against Treviso on Saturday evening has come with a big price to them, as it has been confirmed that winger Ronan O’Mahony has suffered a fractured fibula and will miss the rest of Munster’s season.

Munster who won the match 34-14, which has now confirmed that they will play a home semi-final in Thomond Park, but will be without O’Mahony who’s season is unfortunately over.

O’Mahony, who hails from Limerick, is Munster’s top try scorer this season with 9 tries to his name. He is the competitions second highest try scorer this season as well in the Pro12. He was having his best season in the red jersey.

Game after game he excelled this season, he offered Rassie Erasmus brilliant attacking options on the wing, his loss is another injurie for Erasmus to worry about as the list gets bigger.

Dave O’Callaghan also limped off injured during the match and hes also set to be out of action for the time being.

They join Conor Murray on the injury list as he has been out of action since march where he suffered a shoulder injury.

Munster will now focus ahead of their Pro 12 semi-final, in Limerick. With the fantastic season they have put in this year, it is sure to be a good finish for the boys in red.
