WATCH: Superb Pat Ryan Goal

Doon reached a first Limerick SHC final in 18 years yesterday after their one point victory over Patrickswell in a thrilling semi-final. With twenty minutes on the clock there was nothing to separate the sides, that was until Pat Ryan introduced himself to the game.

Fellow intercounty hurler Richie English picked up the ball between his own 45′ and 21′ and picked out a beautiful 100 yard pass to his colleague Ryan on the sideline. Like he did against Cork in the All Ireland semi-final, he skinned his defender on the outside before charging towards goal.

While in Croker he used precision with a deft flick over the bar, in the Gaelic Grounds yesterday he gave Brian Murray no chance with a driven finish into the roof off the net. This would prove to be crucial as Doon wouldn’t find themselves in arrears again in the game.

Check out the link below to watch the brilliant finish from Ryan.
