Billy Lee has named two debutants in his maiden Limerick XV to face Clare this Sunday in Ennis.
Daniel Daly and David Ward, both from Fr Caseys will be making their first intercounty championship appearances after impressing during the league. St Senans’ James Naughton will be making his first Championship start in Ennis.
Seamus Carroll and Ger Collins make their way back into the team after stepping away from the set up last year. In total there are just seven survivors from last years qualifier defeat to Cork in Thurles. They are Donal O’Sullivan, Johnny McCarthy, Sean O’Dea, Brian Fanning, Darragh Treacy, Garrrett Noonan and Peter Nash.
Limerick are looking for their first Munster Championship win since they overcame Waterford in 2012. However, they are ranked as 7/2 ousiders heading into the game. The winners will face Kerry in the Munster semi-final.
