Tonight Doon and Patrickswell meet in the Premier U21 Hurling Final in the Gaelic Grounds in a game that will be streamed live on Limerick GAA TV.
The final will takes place over six months after the commencement of the competition on February 2nd.
History
Doon come into the game as defending champions and are competing in their sixth successive final at the grade.
The lost three consecutive fnals to Na Piarsaigh before losing to Kilmallock in the decider in 2018.
Their moment finally came last year as they toppled Na Piarasigh 2-10 to 1-11 to finally clinch the title.

They face a Patrickswell side who are appearing in their first final since losing back to back deciders in 2013 and 2014 to Na Piarsaigh.
Indeed their wait for a title goes back twenty three years to 1997 when they completed a back-to-back.
2020 Campaign to date
Doon’s path to the final was relatively straightforward as they topped their group, finishing ahead of Na Piarsaigh and tonight’s opponents.
They beat the ‘Well -18 to 1-9 in ther opener before losing to Na Piarsaigh in round two.
They would then have to wait a number of months before returning to action, defeating Kilmallock 2-20 to 1-13 in the LIT Gaelic Grounds to book their place in the last four.

Iin the semi-finals, they proved far too strong for a depleted Garryspillane side as they won out comfortably 3-18 to 0-15 to seal their place in the final.
As mentioned above, Patrickswell finished third in the group.
Having lost to Doon in their opener, Patrickswell responded with back to back wins over Na Piarsaigh and Kilmallock to earn a quarter-final spot.
In the quarters they beat Ahane who had finished second in Group 2 on a scoreline of 1-17 to 1-14.
In the semi-final they overcame a fancied Mungret St Pauls side 0-21 to 1-16 to book a rematch with Doon.

Interestingly, a number of these players were on show in the recent Senior Hurling Championship meeting between the pair which ended in a 0-21 to 2-15 draw.
Tonight it promises to be as close.
