It is a massive weekend for Treaty United with both the U-17’s and senior sides in action in the league. On Saturday, Irene Hehir brings the U-17 side to Dublin to face Bohemians at the Oscar Traynor Centre (5pm).
The team will be looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat suffered at the hands of Galway in Ballingarry last week. The senior side have had mixed preparations for their first home clash of the season at the Markets Field against fellow newcomers Bohemians.
Last weekend, Dave Rooney’s side secured the club’s first ever competitive win at senior level in their second outing when they defeated DLR Waves at the UCD Bowl. Claire Connolly scored Treaty’s first ever goal in the Women’s National League and Aoife Horgan doubled their lead to cap off a great day.
Unfortunately, last Tuesday’s fixture with Cork City was cancelled as a senior member of the Treaty squad had been in close contact with a suspected Coronavirus case. However, the club tweeted that they had been given permission to return to training and action on Friday.
The long awaited home fixture against Bohemians will take place on Sunday afternoon (2pm).
