New Limerick Minor Football & Hurling management confirmed

Kevin O’Hagan and Kevin Denihan have been confirmed as the new managers of the Limerick minor teams.

Mungret St Paul’s man O’Hagan has been confirmed as the new Minor Hurling manager for the 2021 season, taking over from Diarmuid Mullins.

Meanwhile, Galbally’s Kevin Denihan takes the reigns of the football side who were under the tutelage of Joe Lee.

O’Hagan will be joined by coach Ger Barry and and S&C coach Darragh Droog who remain from Mullins’ management team.

Droog will also act as S&C for the U20’s side under Mullins.

 Liam Hammersley (Cappamore), Liam Reale (Hospital-Herbertstown) & Mark Keane (South Liberties) make up the management ticket.

O’Hagan was in charge of the Limerick U15 team for 2020 season. His father was manager of the Limerick Senior football in the 1980’s.

Hammersley, Reale and Keane were all involved with the county U16’s last year.

Keane was an integral part of the Limerick U21 sides that won three All-Ireland titles in a row to start the century as was a member of South Liberties backroom team in 2020.

The Limerick minor hurling team are yet to conclude their 2020 campaign after retaining theuir Munster crown in December under Mullins.

They will face Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final with the winner to meet Kilkenny or Offaly in the final.

As for Denihan and the minor footballers, Michael Lenihan (Mountcollins), Andrew Lane (St Senans), Gerry Butler and David Devane (Dingle) will act as coaches/selectors of the side.

Under Lee, Limerick reached the semi-final of the Munster championship in December before falling to Clare.
