FIXTURES | Friday Night Lights confirmed for Limerick Senior Football Final

The fixture details for the Limerick Senior Football Championship final have been confirmed.

Adare and Newcastle West will meet under the lights in the Limerick Senior Football Championship final with the decider to take place on Friday October 29 at 7.30pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

Both sides came through their respective semi-final ties on Sunday afternoon to set up a rematch of the 2017 final.

Adare had nine points to spare over Galtee Gaels while Newcastle West were 0-11 to 0-10 winners against Monaleen.

It will be the first final played under lights since 2016 when Monaleen beat Drom Broadford in the final on a Saturday evening.

It will be the fifth successive year that either Adare or Newcastle West claim championship honours.

Meanwhile the semi-finals of the Intermediate championship take place this Saturday with the final on Sunday October 31, two days after the senior decider.

Elsewhere, the quarter-finals of the Junior A Hurling Championship have been confirmed after the group stages of the competition came to an end over the weekend.

This Saturday Mungret take on St Patricks in Clarina while Ballybricken Bohermore face Killeedy in Kilfinnane with both games throwing in at 3.30pm. The following day at 12noon, Doon play St Kierans in Kilmallock with Caherline and Ballybrown meeting in Kilbreedy.
