Limerick hurdler Sarah Lavin put in a dazzling performance at the Anhalt meeting in Germany to claim Gold for Ireland.
Her time of 13.00 in the 100m hurdles saw her claim the podium ahead of Wojtunik Klaudia (13.26) and Jiranova Helena (13.35)
The Emerald Athletics athlete first went sub 13 seconds in that distance last year when she recorded a time of 12.95 at the World Athletics Continental Tour silver meeting in Madrid, beating her previous PB by 0.24 seconds.
She became only the second ever Irish women to break the 13-second barrier, following in the footsteps of Derval O’Rourke who won a pair of silver medals in the European Championships in 2006 and 2010.
Earlier this year, Lavin smashed her 60m personal best as she recorded a first ever time of sub-8 seconds in Belgrade.
