HIGHLIGHTS | Late flurry gives Kilmallock win against Doon in epic SHC semi-final

The 2021 winners will face Na Piarsaigh in the final on October 30th in a repeat of the 2017 decider.

Kilmallock booked their place in the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship for the second consecutive season after an epic 1-13 to 2-9 victory over Doon.

The Balbec were seven points down with only ten minutes to play but a rallying effort from the defending champions in horrible weather conditions was enough to see them through.

Dean Coleman and Darragh Stapleton hit the back of the net for Doon on either side of the interval, with the East side leading 1-6 to 0-5 at the half-time break and looking in control despite the conditions.

The second goal looked to have ensured Doon of a final place but consistent frees from Conor Hanley Clarke as well as a last minute goal for Robbie Egan snatched victory for the Balbec as they maintained their hopes of retaining their title.

Kilmallock now move on to face Na Piarsaigh in the October 30 decider as they seek to defend their title. It will be a repeat of the final in 2017.
