Limerick to play Cork or Clare in Munster football semi-final after provincial draws made

The draws for the 2023 Provincial Football Championships were made on Saturday afternoon.

Cork or Clare will be the opposition when Limerick kick off their 2023 Munster Senior Football Championship campaign after the draw was made on Saturday afternoon.

Limerick receive a bye into the last four after reaching the final in 2022 where they were beaten by eventual All-Ireland champions Kerry.

The Kingdom are also straight into the semi-finals where they will play the winner of Tipperary and Waterford.

That semi-final is expected to take place in early May.

It will be Ray Dempsey’s championship debut in charge of Limerick after the Mayo native was confirmed as the new senior football manager earlier this month, replacing the outgoing Billy Lee.
