Roisin Ambrose named on the National Football League team of Division 4

The winners will receive their awards at Croke Park on Friday, May 5, with captain Ambrose Limerick’s sole representative.

Limerick Ladies Football captain Roisin Ambrose has been named in the Lidl National Football League team of Division 4. The Old Mill native is the only Limerick player on the XV.

Limerick were eliminated from the league at the semi-final stage by Antim who dominate the selection with seven players from the league champions. Leitrim, who were the only other side to stop Limerick from winning, have five players chosen.

Graham Shine’s side qualified for the semi-finals after going through their group undefeated, beating Kilkenny, Wicklow and Derry after sharing the spoils with Leitrim in round three.

The winners will receive their awards at Croke Park on Friday May 5.

Limerick will kick off their Junior All-Ireland Championship on Sunday, June 18th with Kilkenny, Down and Sligo in their side of the draw. Derry, Carlow, London and Fermanagh are in the other side.
