GAA
There is action across the top three divisions of the championship as the final round draws to a close in the senior ranks.
The Limerick Football championships continue in the top three tiers with five games to be played on Saturday evening.
Senior
It is Group 1 that takes the top billing on Saturday evening with the final pair of games in the group. Newcastle got off the mark against Fr Caseys on Thursday and four teams will be vying to join them atop the table this evening. In Mungret, League champions St Kierans face Oola while over the road it is a meeting of recent Intermediate champions as Claughaun and Kildimo Pallaskenry face off.
Intermediate
Last year’s beaten finalists Drom Broadford get their season underway with a mouthwatering tie against Mungret who were also beaten by Na Piarsaigh last year, in the semi-finals. In the other game in the group, Rathkeale, who were beaten finalists in 2018 and 2021, take on Glin in Newcastle West.
