Final Six in Limerick IFC confirmed with a round to spare | Intermediate and Junior Football C’Ships Recap

The six teams remaining in the hunt for promotion to the top tier were confirmed with a round to spare following a string of results in the intermediate championship.

In the Intermediate Championship, St Patricks took a big step towards the semi-finals with a third successive win and halting Galbally’s perfect start. Pats know anything but a loss against St Senans on the final day will see them into the last four. Castlemahon and Crecora Manister played out a draw ruling out either chances of reaching the knockout stages.

In group two, Mungret St Pauls received a walkover against Glin to maintain their perfect start. Drom Broadford‘s win over Pallasgreen also ensured that Mungret will finish top of the group and eliminated Gerald Griffins from the reckoning after they were beaten by Rathkeale on Thursday evening.

In the premier junior championship, Croom and Feenagh Kilmeedy stayed unbeaten in their respective groups to seal knockout berths with a round to spare. The same applies to Mungret St Pauls and Ballybricken Bohermore in the Junior A championship with both winning a fourth successive game.
