Ballylanders await St Ailbe’s in the first semi-final, while Oola will take on Monagea for a spot in the decider.
The Ladies Football championships are a step closer to being decided following the latest action, with semi-finals now confirmed.
Monagea defeated Dromcollogher Broadford by the minimum to earn a spot in the last four, joined by St Ailbe’s, who were too strong for Old Mill, running out eight point winners.
Having come through the preliminary quarter finals, the 2021 Intermediate champions pushed the reigning SFC kingpins all the way with extra-time needed.
However, in the end, it was a 1-9 to 1-8 victory for the West side who are seeking a third successive title.
In the other quarter final, St Ailbes, last year’s finalists, showed their merits with a 4-7 to 1-8 win over Old Mill.
Ballylanders await St Ailbe’s in the first semi-final, while Oola will take on Monagea for a spot in the final. These sides earned direct spots in the semi-finals having topped their groups, and will pose a tough test for the quarter-final winners.
In the Intermediate championship, Mungret St Paul’s came out on top in their quarter-final clash with Fr Casey’s, while Murroe Boher successfully navigated St Brigid’s.
They will meet Murroe Boher and Galtee Gaels respectively this Sunday for a place in the final.
