Newcastle West and Killeedy to meet in Senior Camogie final

The clash of the West rivals will be a repeat of the 2020 and 2021 finals where they split the results.

It was a very busy weekend across Limerick’s Camogie championships, with semi-finals decided across the top three tiers.

Newcastle West put three goals past Bruff to qualify for the Senior A final. There they will meet Killeedy, who avenged last year’s defeat to Ahane in the final to dethrone the champions.

The clash of the West rivals will be a repeat of the 2020 and 2021 finals.

The Senior B final has also been confirmed, with last year’s intermediate champions Adare set to face Na Piarsaigh.

A five point win over Crecora was enough for Adare to secure their final spot, while Na Piarsaigh ran out four point winners over Granagh Ballingarry in their semi-final.

Crecora and Granagh Ballingarry will now meet to determine who retains their senior status with two teams relegated this year.

Elsewhere, Croagh Kilfinny dramatically got over Galbally by the minimum in the Intermediate semi-final, and they will be playing Monaleen in the final, who enjoyed a seven point win over Templeglantine.
