Ardscoil Rís Limerick’s sole representative in Harty Cup with All-Limerick Derby in Munster B Competition

The Limerick school have won five titles since their maiden triumph in 2010.

After a year’s absence, the Harty Cup returns in December with Ardscoil Rís Limerick’s sole representatives in the premier school’s hurling competition in Munster.

The City school kick off the knockout competition in the last 16 against St Coleman’s Fermoy on December 12th.

The winners of that tie will play the victors between Causeway Comprehensive and De La Salle. That quarter-final tie will be played on January 13th.

Ardscoil Rís won their first title in 2010 and have followed up with wins in 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Each of their winniing captains have gone on to win All-Ireland honours in Declan Hannon & Shane Dowling (2010, 2011), Cian Lynch (2014, Peter Casey & Jerome Boylan (2016) and Ronan Connolly (2018).

St Flannans are the most recent winners of the competition, winning out in early 2020.

Scoil Na Tríonóide Naofa Doon are in the B Competition, the Thomais Mhic Choilm, where they have a bye into the last 16 alongside Charleville CBS.

There is an all-Limerick clash in the last 16 of the same competition as Castletroy College meet John the Baptist.

Both of those ties take place on December 9th.

There are six Limerick sides in the Munster Senior C Championship in the form of Cresecent Comprehensive, Colaise Mhuire Askeaton, Scoil Pol Kilfinane, Colaise Iosaef Kilmallock, SMI Newcastle West and Hazelwood College.
