Ballysteen Point-to-Point set for another successful meeting

This Sunday marks another edition of the long running Ballysteen Point-to-Point.

Sporting Limerick sat down with two of the many organisers involved in running the event.

Treasurer Tommy Kelly and Clerk of the Course, John Neville talked about the challenges facing the point to point and the buzz and excitement that surrounds the local community in the run up to the event.

The Point to Point has seen winners from owners such as Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary and JP McManus as well as Champion Hurdler Faugheen who won back at Ballysteen back in 2012.

Gates open at 12 noon and first race is off at 2pm with plenty for all the family to enjoy.
