Barry Nash “When John & Paul brought that challenge to me I tried to meet it head on”

Limerick defender Barry Nash has been a revelation since he made the switch from the forward line and believes that there is more room for improvement.

Kiely & Kinnerk approached Nash about a move to the backline and the South Liberties man has not looked back since.

The South Liberties man has heaped praise ahead of his manager John Kiely and Limerick coach Paul Kinnerk for giving him the confidence to succeed in his new surroundings.

I’ve been learning from lots of guys around I have been picking the brains of the players and the backroom team. Having Caroline (Currid) there as well has been massive.

I have also matured over the last number of years. Starting out in 2016 I was playing in the forwards and eventually switched into the backs.

When John (Kiely) and Paul (Kinnerk) brought that challenge to me I tried to meet it head on and use all the resources around me to improve my game and get to where I am today.

I just have so much trust and faith in Paul and John and when they made that decision I was just happy to give it a go and see how things went.
