Boost for Munster as Carbery returns to full training

Munster have been handed a big lift with the news that out half Joey Carbery has returned to training ahead of their Champions Cup quarter final with Edinburgh on Saturday.

Carbery picked up a hamstring injury in Irish camp during the Six Nations and it was feared that he could miss the trip to Scotland when he didn’t play against Zebre at the weekend.

However, Munster have confirmed that he has returned to full training this Monday and will be in line to play the crucial game at Murrayfield.

All of Munster’s Irish players that took part in the Six Nations have also returned to training at the University of Limerick.

Tight head prop Ciaran Parker has also made his comeback from a hamstring problem, but Brian Scott (foot), James Cronin (leg) and Tommy O’Donnell (shoulder) remain on the sidelines.
