BREAKING | De Allende confirms Munster departure

The province confirmed the news that was long rumured today.

Damian De Allende will leave Munster at the season’s end it has been announced by the province today.

In a short tweet, Munster confirmed the news saying,

“It has been confirmed that Damian de Allende will depart Munster Rugby at the end of the season with the centre joining a club outside of Europe.”

His destination is unknown but the World Cup winner will leave Europe where he has spent two years since joining Munster in 2020.

The centre has made over 30 appearances for Munster, but has yet to win silverware with the province still fighting on URC and Champions Cup fronts this season.

De Allende’s departure will be eased somewhat by the signing of Malakai Fekitoa.

The 24-time capped All-Black has won a pair of World Cup titles and will arrive to Munster for the start of next season.
