BT Sport make major error regarding the IRFU after Lions announcement

Warran Gatland’s 41-man British and Irish Lions squad was announced earlier today from London. Sam Warburton was named as captain of the squad for the second consecutive series, becoming only the second man to do so.

Gatland included 16 Englishmen, 12 Welsh, 11 Irish and 2 Scottish men in his squad. On their twitter page, BT Sport attempted to graphically illustrate where the tourists were based but made one glaringly obvious mistake in their graphic.

The IRFU were keen to highlight BT’s error and replied almost immediately.

BT subsequently deleted their tweet and amended their error.
