Copeland to leave Munster as trio secure contract extensions

Robin Copeland’s time at Munster will come to an end at the end of this season as it has been revealed that he will leave Munster.

Copeland who has 11 tries in 62 appearances since his debut in 2014 has been an excellent servant for the club. The Wexford man was man of the match in Munster’s historic win over the Maoiri All Blacks in November 2016.

In positive news for the province, Dave O’Callaghan, Brian Scott and Ciarán Parker have secured new deals.

29-year-old O’Callaghan has recently recovered from a knee injury and has 78 appearances for Munster. His new deals sees his contract extended to June 2019.

24-year-old Brian Scott has been handed a two-year full contract. He has played 19 times for the province, scoring his maiden try against Zebre last month.

Cian Parker, who moved from Sale Sharks last year has seen his development contract extended by a further year. The 22-year-old has two appearances for Munster.
