County Senior Football Championship knockout pairings confirmed

The Limerick Senior Football Championship drew to a close on Sunday evening with Newcastle West and Dromcollogher/Broadford claiming the semi-final spot, while Oola will face off against Monaleen and Ballylanders take on Adare in quarter-finals. While Rathkeale and Ballysteen will battle it out in the relegation playoff.

In Group 1 Dromcollogher/Broadford claimed top spot and reached their 18th straight SFC semi-final with an 0-11 to 0-6 win over Monaleen. Defeat for the defending champions saw them finish in second place. They will face Oola in the quarter-finals after the East Limerick side saw off St Patrick’s.

While Adare claimed a 2-10 to 1-10 win over Rathkeale to set up a quarter final meeting with Ballylanders.

Fr Caseys hopes of a knockout place were ended by Na Piarsaigh while in Group 2 St Kieran’s failed to reach the next round following a 1-11 to 0-6 defeat to Newcastle West.

While the line-up for the knockout stages of the Intermediate championship was also confirmed. Gerald Griffins & St Senans booked their places in the semi finals.

While Mountcollins face Claughaun and Galbally meet Pallasgreen in the quarter finals.
