De Allende and Snyman get the all clear for South African return ahead of Lions Tour

The duo were both burned in an incident involving a fire pit just over a fortnight ago, days after they were both selected on the South African side to take on the Lions this summer.

Munster have confirmed that the pair have been cleared to travel to South Africa and will continue their respective recoveries under the care of the Springboks medical team.

Both players had good reviews with the specialist this week having sustained burns in an accident earlier this month.

De Allende and Snyman will both travel back to South Africa this week.

The Lions begin their campaign this Saturday as they face Japan. Munster duo Tadhg Beirne and Conro Murray are both named from the start with the latter making his British and Irish Lions debut.

The first test of the 2021 series will take place on Saturday July 21 in Cape Town.
