There was three defeats from three for the Limerick basketball teams over the weekend in the Mens Division One National League.
Limerick Celtics hosted DBS Eanna in St Munchins College but were beaten well by their opponents 90-58, with the visitors having three players score double digit points. This kept up their remarkable 100% record this season with 15 wins from 15. Celtics remain fourth in the Southern Conference.
As for Limerick IT, they were beaten 91-66 by Abbey Seals Dublin Lions. Matt Scamuffo was LIT’s top scorer with 21 points. LIT prop up the Southern Conference with just two wins this season.
UL Sports Eagles were the subject of a 89-72 loss to Bad Bobs Tolka Rovers in the UL Arena on Saturday evening. This was despite the best efforts of Tarchee Brown who poured in 39 points, over half his sides total.
