Limerick’s hopes of Munster Minor Football championship glory came to an end this evening after they failed to secure a win against Tipperary, drawing 0-10 to 0-10 in Sean Treacey Park.
Tipperary started the brighter and had the opening two scores within five minutes.
Limerick replied however with four unanswered scores courtesy of three Shane O’Donoghue frees and one from Daniel Geraghty.
Tipperary duly responded with three in a row to retake the lead with half time approaching.
Conor Galvin levelled proceedings with the sides level at the break.
The sides exchanged scores at the beginning of the second with neither gaining the upperhand.
Tipperary did pull away scoring three consecutive points given them a cushion with twenty minutes to play.
Limerick replied as they did in the first half with three of their own to bring the game level approaching the final minutes.
Kyle Shelly pulled Tipperary ahead but captain Eliah Riordan would have the final say, notching a last minute free to secure the draw.
However, it was not enough for Limerick who needed a win to advance.
