The Limerick Celtics led for the entire game, in what was a hard-fought battle, with Abbey Seal Dublin Lions relying heavily upon Sydney Kin.
Celtics did well to push their lead out, and finished the first quarter in the ascendency at 21-11.
Dublin Lions got going in the second quarter, pounding the Celtics with offensive wave after wave, but Limerick Celtics still headed in at half-time with a 32-21 lead.
