Five Limerick Ladies named on the Junior Team of the Championship

Graham Shine’s side make up a third of the side after they were just pipped by Down in the All-Ireland final last month.

Five Limerick players have been named on the TG4 Ladies Junior All-Star team with the winners set to receive their awards at a Croke Park function on Friday November 3.

Limerick captain Roisin Ambrose is named at midfield after guiding her side to the All-Ireland final where they came up agonisingly short against Down in August.

She is joined by four Monagea players with sisters Grace and Yvonne Lee named in defence while Deborah Murphy and Karen O’Leary are in attack.

All-Ireland champions Down lead the way in terms of selection with seven on the team while there is a pair from semi-finalists Fermanagh, who Limerick eliminated, and one from Carlow.

The 2023 TG4 All Star banquet will be held at Dublin’s Bonnington Hotel on Saturday, November 18.
