Fixtures confirmed as Football Championships reach quarter final stage

In the senior, Fr Caseys and Na Piarsigh meet on Saturday afternoon with Monaleen meeting Kildimo Pallaskenry the following day

The football takes centre stage again this week after a fortnight’s break as the club championships move into the knockout rounds.

The senior, intermediate and junior quarter finals will all be played this weekend with the relegation final in the top two tiers all down for decision.

In the senior, Fr Caseys and Na Piarsigh meet on Saturday afternoon with Monaleen meeting Kildimo Pallaskenry the following day. Adare and Newcastle West are safely into the last four already.

At the other end, Claughaun and Ballylanders will hope to preserve their senior status.

The battle to join Mungret St Pauls and St Senans in the Intermediate last four sees Rathkeale and Galbally face off on Friday evening while Drom Broadford meet St Pats on Sunday.

Both the premier junior and junior A championships will be down to four by Sunday evening also.
