Four Limerick players named on Hurling team of the week

For the second consecutive week, there are four Limerick players named on the Official GAA Hurling Team of the Week.

For the second consecutive week Mike Casey is named on the team after another brilliant performance at the heart of the defence.

He is joined by fellow defender Sean Finn, who was named Man of The Match after keeping tabs on both John Conlon and Shane O’Donnell throughout.

Nickie Quaid, who made a second consecutive clean sheet is named on the side as is Aaron Gillane who notched 1-11 in the Gaelic Grounds.

Gillane is nominated for Hurler of the Week following in the footsteps of Gearoid Hegarty who was nominated last week.

In total there are seven teams represented with three from Cork & Galway, two from Wexord as well as one from Westmeath, Kilkenny and Laois.

The team in full can be found here.
