Friday’s Fixtures | SHC continues on Friday evening as we reach penultimate round of group fixtures

There’s battles for both ends of the table in Friday’s fixtures in the top tier of the hurling championship.

The Senior Hurling Championship is the only action tonight, with a game apiece from either group in the competition.

Kilmallock and Ahane do battle in Doon with the defending champions looking to put the pressure on first placed Na Piarsaigh. The side could also clinch qualification to the knockout rounds while Ahane are fighting for their place in group one next year as they sit on one point in fifth place.

In group two, South Liberties are one of four sides that sit on four points and will make every game count in the run-in for qualification. Mungret St Pauls sit just behind them on two points with a win being the minimum for the side if they look to push into the top four. Anything else and they will be looking over their shoulder ahead of a final round showdown against Blackrock.
