Ireland make book Cup Semi Final spot on opening day of Exeter 7s

Ireland were the standout team on the opening day of the Exeter 7s tournament. 

Anthony Eddy’s side made it three wins from three games, scoring 16 tries in the process as they beat Portugal 36-7, Belgium 40-7 and World Series side France 26-0 to top Pool A. Jimmy O’Brien and Jordan Conroy were top scorers with four tries each.
