In the wake of fifth All-Ireland success in six years. JP praised the impact of Kiely and his team on the county.

“Great team, great management, what more can I say. They are a joy to be around”.

But when asked about what makes John Kiely excel as Limerick manager, JP was coy in his answer!

“That’s asking too much, we can’t be telling you that!”

“He’s a great leader. We are very very lucky to have John and his team”.

After a successful opening day at the festival, McManus and co will be hoping for more winners in Galway with day two kicking off at 5.10 this Tuesday.
