Limerick Celtics get bye into President’s National Cup quarter-final while Sport Eagles travel to Dublin

The draw for the InsureMyHouse.ie National Cups were made on Tuesday evening.

The Limerick Celtics were handed a bye into the quarter-final of the InsureMyHouse.ie D1 President’s National Cup after last night’s draw while the Limerick Sport Eagles face an away trip to Moy Tolka Rovers.

Tolka Rovers finished fifth in the North Conference last season and will be a tough opposition to face in the opening round. The winner will go on to face either Scotts Lakers SPK/Abbey Seals Dublin Lions in the quarter-final.

Limerick Celtics will be happy to have the additional week to prepare for the quarter-finals, however they will face either Drogheda Wolves/SETU Waterford Vikings, with Drogheda finishing runners-up in the competition last year.

Elsehwere in the Women’s Division One National Cup, the Limerick Sport Huskies take on Marble City Hawks of Kilkenny while Limerick Celtics host SETU Carlow.

If the Huskies progress, they’ll face St. Pauls Killarney in the quarter-finals while Limerick Celtics will take on Abbey Seals Dublin Lions/Griffith College Templeogue if they get the better of their Carlow opposition.
