Limerick name minor hurling team for Waterford meeting | TEAM NEWS

Joint-captain Diarmuid Hurley continues at full-forward, joined by Jack Fitzgerald and Patrick Kearney in the inside-forward line.

Limerick Minor hurling manager Shane Dowling has named his side to take on Waterford in round four of the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship on Thursday evening.

The tie is scheduled to start at 7pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds, with Limerick needing a win to keep hope of qualification alive, following losses to Cork and Clare.

Limerick will play their final game of the Minor Munster Hurling Championship on Thursday, May 9 when they host Tipperary also at the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 7pm.

Dowling has shuffled his side around from the Clare loss, with several positional and personnel changes.

Cathal Dennehy is set to start in goal, with Daithi Dennehy just ahead at full-back. He is joined by Kilmallock’s Gearoid Enright and Adare’s Conor Ryan in the full-back line.

Jack Cosgrave starts at six, flanked by Eoin Brosnan and Paul Murphy.

Patrick Cagney partners Eoghan Maher in midfield, with Danny Sheehan named just ahead at centre-forward.

The Na Piarsaigh man is supported by John O’Connor and Gavin Dorgan, who switches to half-forward having lined out at half-back against Clare.
