Limerick SFC continues this week after opening round goal-fest

After a weekend of football packed with high-quality, high-scoring games, the Limerick SFC second round takes place this weekend, before a six-week break for the clubs due to the Senior Hurling Championship and Limerick’s Munster football and hurling quests.

The champions from the previous four years, Monaleen, Newcastle, Ballylanders and Drom-Broadford all picked up impressive opening round wins. Oola also picked up a win whilst Fr Caseys snatched a late draw against newly promoted Adare. In total there were 24 goals scored in the six games.

The second round games will take place on Friday and Saturday evening this weekend. All games will take place at 7pm, except for the clash between Monaleen and Fr Caseys, which takes place on Friday evening at 7.30pm.
